Fossil House, Sherborne Castle

Whilst we were having coffee,  we bumped into my friends from Street -M and J so we were able to have a catch-up but it felt strange not being able to hug them .

Then we visited Sherborne Castle grounds again and walked by the lake to the Fosdil House built to commemorate the Digbys being at Sherborne for 400 years . It is built of fossils and local stone . I loved the stained glass in the roof .

We were really upset to see the grebes who were building their nest last week had disappeared- little left of the nest at all . I wonder which predators eat their eggs or them ?
