Happy 21st Birthday Josh
It has been perfect holiday weather today, so Jon and I began with breakfast in the french quarter. That jokey name seems to have stuck. But I promise you, if you sat up there, you really could be on a little french cafe terrace!
I pottered in the garden, got two loads of washing out, and then we drove over to East Runton to join Josh's family to celebrate his special day (which was Wednesday) Josh's parents have an amazing motor home which is kept at a very nice site in the village and we were able to spread out, play games chat, drink and generally socialise but with lots of space. It was a really lovely relaxing day, finished off with fish and chip takeaway from the very good chip shop in East Runton.
At about 6 we left the group and headed into Cromer for an ice cream, then back to our caravan where we deposited some towels and bits for our holiday. Still really hopeful that campsites will be open by the time our holiday is booked for in late July. We were very taken with the motor home though. We have never made a secret of the fact that we would really like one, one day. Hopefully when we retire it is something we will be able to do!
Home at 7.30 and watched a film called Operation Finale. It was a Netflix own film about the capture and trial of Adolf Eichmann. Very good drama. I like real life dramas, which is the reason my netflix list is full of WW2 films.
Going to read the paper now and then get an early night. ( Early for saturday)
