Tank Stream Fountain
The Tank Stream was the original source of water for the First Fleet colony when they landed in Sydney in 1788. It flowed down the shallow valley between what is now Pitt and George Streets.
The stream is long since buried beneath the CBD, and this fountain in Circular Quay marks the location of the mouth of the original stream as it flowed into Sydney Harbour.
