This is Charing Cross police station, which looks rather grand in today's sun. I wonder what the original use of the building was.

My friend and colleague Simon left the office for the last time as an employee. I wish him the very best of luck in whatever the future holds. I'm sure it is very bright and shiny for him since he's one of the most talented and diligent wordsmiths and editors I've worked with. Fred and I enjoyed a fabulous evening with him and a great many friends at his leaving drinks.
