WILD CHERRY

Also called Gean or Mazzard, according to my book, though I've never heard either of those names.

I made a wholewheat fruit cake yesterday which is so healthy and nutritious that B has had some for breakfast and lunch in lieu of anything else. It took nearly 8 hours from start to finish so I'm glad it turned out OK. If I soaked the fruit in booze first it would make a very good celebration cake. After that I'm resting on my laurels today, though I might be about to go and clean the bathroom, after I've had another cup of tea.
