Small heaths

Finally, finally, escaped the city in to hills. In the valley families played - more than I've ever seen and the rangers kept an eye, I've not seen them before.
But in the hills, I was enveloped by the sounds and sights I've missed. Bird song - curlew, lapwing, oystercatcher, winchat, warblers and more. Small heath butterflies lifted time after time along with the dodgers and distracters and performers - skylarks, pippets. And only 7 people.
Joy.
