HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

This morning is a perfect cool, "June Gloom" day to take a Father's Day hike. This is my husband,  Mr. zimmt54, father & grandfather extraordinaire,
with Angus & Scout.  They are just entering Scout's favorite trail, but I guess she did not read the sign.  Luckily, we did not see any
mountain lions.

That innocent looking, red-doodle "agent of chaos,"
is Ellie.  She is our daughter's family dog, who is staying with us for a few days.  Our mission is to exercise her into exhaustion every day so she is too tired to get into mischief. That 5:00AM wake up call hit us hard.

We had our Father's Day celebration last night & it was lovely, except for
1 little wrinkle.  Just after the pork tenderloin came off the grill, Elle the
"counter surfer" jumped up & grabbed the cooked meat & ran away with it.
I wish I had a video of grown men chasing a young dog all over the yard, to catch their Father' Day dinner. Ellie only had time to eat a bite, & the Dads shared the rest.  After all the commotion, it was wonderful evening, just like we used to have in years past.

Onward & upward:  I have already planned a long walk in the park for this afternoon, & I have cleared all the counters.  COUNTER SURFERS BEWARE!
