This Mono Monday Picture #335 shows the "summer or winter" place where steam boats wharfed in 1885 on the Heathcote River,Christchurch NZ. the theme of the mono challenge this week is "Summer or winter"
Its amazing so many steam boats got so far up the river, lots of lives were lost getting the boats across the Bar at the Estuary.and a lot of boats foundered in the the low tidal flow of the river.
