Log rhythm

Day two of arboreal destruction. The main trunks cut through where they fell, heavy with moisture. They had a pattern to them, each 'disced' at roughly 11 inches all the way along their lengths.
They have now been carted off to be split and dried, ready for next winter's as yet, unpredictable ways. Only sawdust and twigs remain to be cleared.
What a difference this will make to the meadow.
