Another village sunset

H wasn't feeling at all well this morning so I went over to see her. The ponies are all out in a field with plenty of grass and shelter, the goats are self sufficient and happy and the dogs have a cat flap so they can come and go as they want so at least she doesn't have to worry about them. 

We sat and chatted for a while and when  she felt ready for a bit of a sleep I left her to it. She is so independent that it is strange to see her like this.

An afternoon of restaking plants after last night's gales and then sitting reading the paper, watching them all being battered all over again!  After tea the wind dropped and it was flat calm. Lottie and I had a lovely walk in the pink evening light.
