Nobody Told The Heron It was Mono Monday

I was out for my walk looking for something for the Mono Monday theme "Summer", when a teenage boy asked if I was looking for nature photos.  I replied that I was and he pointed across the water and asked if I saw the large bird sitting on the branch.  At first, I didn't see it , but after a few moments I spotted it and the Heron Rule kicked in.  I couldn't see it and not show you!  I believe it is a Night Heron and, though I wish I could have gotten closer, I am reasonably happy with this shot.......
