Mini gardens

Our local limestone pavements are full of grykes. These are holes created by water getting into cracks and dissolving the limestone over periods of geological time.
It always interests me to look at the colonies of plants which flourish in these holes.
The main shot has five plant growing happily together. They are:
Hart’s Tongue Fern
Maidenhair Spleenwort
Wall Rue
Herb Robert, and
Hard Shield Fern

The extra has Hard Shield Fern and Wood Sage
