Trawler engine room

You don't get to do this every day, but I chaired the Highland Council Harbours Board for 5 years. One day we met in Kinlochbervie, and were invited to tour a brand new trawler.

What sticks in my mind is a chat with the skipper on the bridge. He was worried about the discards ban, then a hot topic. He said he accepted the principal, but if he had to come home with a hold full of fish he couldn't sell, please bear in mind he had already spent £30,000 on fuel.
