Five-line skink

This Five-line skink was on the back porch eating himself a nice big bug.  You usually only see these guys as they are scurrying from one hiding spot to another.  

This one was about average size for the ones that I normally see about the backyard but I occasionally see larger ones and some are large enough that they can be heard when they run across the porch.  They are great to have around as they are wonderful bug eaters.

I have managed to get nothing done so thus far today and since I have a migraine, I don't see much happening the rest of the day either.  Oh well.  The house won't fall down and the world won't stop turning.  Today's dust will still be there tomorrow. :-)
