Silver-washed Fritillary

Went to some different local woods today and took a picnic, spent 3 1/2 hours there, which the dog loved. Saw 11 species of butterfly including the above. There were also a lot of White Admirals, they seem to be having a good year. They proved to be very uncooperative only one settled for me and that was half way up a tree.
