"Stand by to repel boarders!"
I needed a change of subject away from flowers. The Squirrels had opted for an early morning visit, caught on the trail cam, so that left birds. I was trying for general portraits of them in the bushes. Then a bit of a feeding frenzy developed, so change settings and see what I could get.
Of the shots this one appealed. The bird in flight is a fledgeling Siskin (Carduelis spinus). The one trying to prevent it landing is a female Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris). The male sensibly is just getting on feeding on the other side of the feeder.
