Not even remotely close
Lots of furore this evening around the government’s amended rules. As I walked through the centre of Cambridge and some deserted colleges I was reflecting on the strange parallel of soon being able to get battered on cider in a pub whilst Cambridge University has committed to remote teaching for the whole of the next academic year. Surely they’ll roll back on that one...
I chatted to my friend Gisela in Maputo and we speculated as to what the President might say in his upcoming address. He may extend the state of emergency or upgrade it as cases in Mozambique are increasing, although not yet to a degree that resembles the impact in Europe. I’m less interested in visiting an art gallery in the UK and more keen to know when the visa section of the Mozambican Consulate in London may reopen its doors.
