Monikie Reservoir

A dull but warm day

Relaxing morning, reading and doing my 4,000 steps on the Wii Board.

After lunch, we watched the funeral of a former Pastor of our church. Since the attendance was limited to 20, the service was broadcast online. It was a strange experience, and it must have been hard for the family.

We then went for a 2.3 mile walk around the Monikie Reservoir. I was overtaken by my daughter at the top of the leaderboard in the family step challenge, whether I will catch her again, I don’t know. I comfort myself that she is 24 years younger than me :-)

News that England is opening up a great deal of places by dropping the 2 metre rule to 1 metre. Time will tell if this is going to work or too risky. It is a very fine judgement to make, and I am not unhappy that the Scottish Government still wants to proceed at a slower pace.

I did like the tree, which I saw at the end of my walk.

The day wound up with our church Zoom Prayer Meeting. We certainly have become more comfortable with this way of meeting which is just as well, since we may have to continue for some time to come.
