Lilium flowers after the rain.

We had rain today, and the Lilium lily that I put on Blip on 15th January is now open.
This is known locally as 'Kristens lilly'. As the story goes, when she moved onto her husbands family farm in the Sounds, she found a patch of these lillies growing up in the hills. She is supposed to have backpacked 300 bulbs back to her place. From here they have been given away or just popped up where ever they seeded.
No matter how they came to be, they are a lovely flower and grow in my garden without any tender loving care.
