Ringlet butterfly

I live on my own and so, with the recent change to the Scottish government guidelines, I've been 'adopted' by my brother into his household to form an extended household. So, as this is my last week of furlough, I'm spending the week with my brother and family in Lennoxtown. It's a lovely place and yesterday afternoon I went out for a short walk with my brother and niece. We spotted lots of these ringlet butterflies, along with plenty of birdlife and wild flowers. My niece (who is 11) is a good wee naturalist and knows the names of lots of the flowers and birds so kept us right. We did have to look up the name of this butterfly though.
