Layers of ferns

Not a good day for taking photos and very mucky underfoot but the forest quite beautiful.  There must be hundreds of different types of ferns along the track, and they are loving the cooler wetter conditions. Some are so very tiny  and you don't notice them in the  warmer weather when they almost shrivel up while others are at the opposite end of the scale.
The plumbers/drainlayers came today with their cameras, no blockage found.  'the drains just couldn't cope with the torrential rain' - I don't think so!!
