Wide Wednesday: Monochrome

I hope I'm allowed to tag a wideangle close-up for Wide Wednesday - if not then please just ignore the tag - I took this on my morning walk, using my phone camera which has quite a wide lens! It seemed to be a subject which could work quite well in mono. As you'll see it's the head of a thistle, but I like the fine strands wrapped round it - I'm too ignorant to know whether they're part of the thistle or a result of a spider's efforts (I suspect the latter).
