Fusion Sunday

The day started early with Communion at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, where the religious ceremony will be. Then to Wen's paternal grandmother's for the traditional betrothal ceremony with lighting of candles and incense and gifts to the ancestors. No-one was quite sure what any of it meant but there was much smoke and incense and red packets. Then we all went for brunch. the groom's family are supposed to be part of the exchange of gifts and money but since, at present, the groom's family is me, that didn't happen.

After lunch G and WH went to deliver wedding invitations. They were away till early evening. I swam, had a sleep, sewed and felt very hungry. there is never any food in this flat. Luckily there are eggs - so omelette it was.
