Backlit Nettles

I was woken before 5 a.m. by warring magpies in the hedgerow behind the house...they have an incredibly raucous call.

I got up and after a coffee was out with Finlay before it got too warm. Beautiful light in the woods. These nettles caught my eye, lit up against the dark background of a tree trunk.

A day of waiting in for umpteen deliveries... bizarrely it seems such a hardship despite not being able to go out anywhere.
