Wild Wednesday: "Guardian"

Our nesting seagulls on the chimney top don't seem quite so noisy this year. (Rachael's not convinced, so it may just be that I'm getting more deaf!) They're quite active in seeing off possible aerial threats, though, as well as occasionally buzzing those of us on the ground. This morning we spotted a chick popping its head up. I was hoping to get a shot of him/her this afternoon, but only this watchful parent was visible from ground level.
