Strawberries

Today's the day ………………….. to get fruity

Shame there won't be any Wimbledon to watch this summer - but the strawberries don't know that.

In fact, it's going to be a bumper year in the garden as far as most fruits are concerned.  I picked our gooseberries this afternoon.  We have two small bushes, one of which is very old and the other is brand new - but they still managed enough for a crumble or two.  And the redcurrants (see extra) are looking their usual jewel-like selves.

It's a delicious time of the year ………………...
