Gentle Solstice Light - 9pm on Porty Beach

Spent the afternoon with good friends on the beach. Got warmer and warmer.

I had to head off to a meeting at 4pm, then worked 6pm to 8pm.

When home the pal messaged me to ask if my son had left a black and yellow cycle helmet. He had. I hurtled along and managed to get the helmet before they left.

Sadly, like me, my son would leave his head, or helmet, if it isn't screwed on. Anyway it all ended well. Also let me get this shot of the part of the beach where we were in this lovely pinky, gentle, summer evening light. Oh and a sculptural giant hog weed but don't touch them - they blister your skin something nasty, I'm told.

Oh, that reminds me - my boy stood on something this afternoon which stung and caused him fairly intense pain but luckily it was all over in 5 or 10 mins. Still a bit scary.
