While the pandemic has been raging a slower pestilence has continued to infect Britain's ash trees. Our first casualty came down today (at an eye-watering cost). It was the worst affected of our many ash trees and very close to the house. The team of three young men (and a dog) was very efficient and by the end of the afternoon all that was left was an empty space and a pile of logs.
