Wild Wednesday

This is Charlie, a juvenile Cooper's hawk, watching his sibling practicing for the Aerial Acrobatics event at the upcoming Alternative Olympic Games.  Team Cooper faces stiff competition from team Blue Jay.  They are both also participating in the Loudest Squawk Competition.  The games begin in early August.  Check out Debbi's blip for more details. :-)

In other news, I mentioned yesterday that 60plus has organized Silly Saturday this week as a tribute to Admirer. Here is her message posted on the Challenges page and also on Facebook.  Please pass on the message in your journals and join in on Saturday.  

I am grateful that we only have one more week to wait for Piper's grooming appointment.  I can't believe the amount of fur that she has already shed and how much she still has.  We brush her and by the next day she shedding again!!
