A close shave!

Here is the fruits of my labour volunteering for National Trust Scotland this weekend. I built this shave horse from scratch with a lovely guy called Jack. We copied an existing rustic version which had clearly been made by a craftsman, unlike us. We had to be fairly inventive with the material and tools we had available to us.

This is me using the finished version to craft oak pegs for the building. A great sense of achievement to have a working version completed in two days. It will be put to good use as the building being constructed needs lots of pegs like this.
