Day 94 The rule breaker
Another day of high temperatures. The walk to and from the car, in the midday sun, to pick up Violet from school seem to tire us all out and we spent the afternoon seeking the shade. Well Mr MC didn't: he is a sun worshipper, although even he admitted that it was a bit much to work in. Peggy Sue plodded about, flopping down in various shady spots but really with that thick fur coat she was not going to feel at her most comfortable today. She considers the garden her territory so she certainly ignores any keep off the grass notices, although here she does have a bubble to compensate!
This evening mine and Mr MC's favourite programmes were on TV: The Repair Shop and The Great British Sewing Bee. The latter was the final in this year's series and the winner was well deserving of the title. I would say that her 'day job' seems especially apt atm too. The daily news briefing has been scrapped as of yesterday but I hadn't realised until at 4.30 pm I popped indoors to find that it wasn't on. It was getting a bit tedious and questions from both the public and journalists were frequently not answered but it was at least an opportunity to catch up on the daily figures, whatever worth they might have.
