Scorcher!

Another scorcher! JR went for a jog/run/walk early on, while Archie and I relaxed in the front garden. I did get my clippers out and snipped a few bits of hedge that dared to stick up.

Elizabeth came to take Archie out for a bonus walk. She’s been ‘working from home’ so her hours are flexible. They walked miles after visiting a friend.

We decided to pop along and visit some car yards (just looking) and maybe go to the beach. They’re not open yet, of course, but the cars are all sitting there. 

We knew it wasn’t really a good idea on a hot afternoon (we usually go early in the morning) - and it wasn’t - but as we were so near, we went on to the beach. It was mobbed. Lots of white tattooed bodies - probably lobster-red tattooed bodies this evening. We had a coffee, then walked along the main street - JR wanted to go to a nice bakery, but it had just closed. Actually, I sat on a bench and waited in the sun, because I knew it was quite far along. 

Popped round to see a friend who’s just out of hospital, and then a first - I had tea (dinner/supper) outside in the garden in my night attire after a shower! Thankfully no neighbours made an appearance.

Just a selection of flowers from the neighbourhood, though I only recognise the thistle.

Extra - Archie smelt something very interesting  - what was it? They did 22,600 steps!
