Early morning sun

I got up to this lovely dappled sunlight this morning. The rest of the day was hot and the air was full of the sounds of sawing as the old tree was cut into sections...one part of the trunk to remain at the edge of the pond and the rest to be destroyed.

The men worked so hard throughout the hottest part of the day. Lots of cups of tea went from my kitchen to keep them going.

We've got a lot of tidying up to do around the pond. I think it will take a while to sort out. Extra shows the piece of log that will remain.
