Common as muck

There is no such thing as a ‘seagull’ - but there are many species of gulls. We do have a herring gull who visits the garden and knocks on the door if I haven’t fed him. Also a lesser black back gull which is a beautiful slatey grey. But I do have a soft spot for our common gull. Although called common, they are not that common but we do have a healthy population here.
