Signs of summer

Hot, hot day!  Got tons done, work-wise though.  I sat out in the garden again at lunchtime, well within the shade of the Japanese maple this time.  Nicely cool compared to the inside of our flat, which only got hotter as the day went on.  Called my Mum when I came back in and had a quick chat with her - then back on with work until 6:30 this evening.  Really must learn to stop earlier - work are getting a lot of free hours out of me at the moment!

We couldn't face cooking properly this evening, so I knocked up a quick potato omelette for dinner.  Went out for a lovely walk to the heath after that - everything looking and feeling properly summery.
