VELVET STAR (geastrum triplex)
It was such a cold foggy, misty, drizzly day I just didn't want to go out - but dragged myself into the garden and whoohoo came across something I've never seen in our garden before - a VELVET STAR. or geastrum triplex! I had a 200 mm lens on when I first discovered it and shot off a couple of drizzly shots but when I looked at them - said No that's not good enough Poo - get out there and do it properly - hence the change to a macro lens and a kneeler and out into the drizzle again !
The blip must go through !! I was happy with the find especially in the front garden.
