It was opening day at Cardrona skifield today, and our Prime Minister attended to make further announcements on how the government is going to support the Queenstown District, as it is such a tourist dependent area.

While Frida and I suffered under the Inversion layer, Jill enjoyed her skiing in sunshine and had a photo opportunity with Jacinda Ardern. (extra) Terrible photo of Jill - but special to have. Jill said that Jacinda Ardern received loud cheering and clapping to (we assume) acknowledge her outstanding leadership during the Covid crisis.

Home by the fire tonight to watch the Mountain Film Festival online- another innovative idea forced on the organisers due to Covid-19.
