Charissa obscurata

Annulet moth, apparently rare nationally and very unusual inland. This one was on the outside of our front door this morning, it flew around the drive close to the ground when we opened the door before coming to rest on a section of slate chip at the side of the drive.
This morning was thunder and heavy rain, L and I headed to Mums for a from the garden visit hoping the rain did not travel East before us, we got there about 20 mins before the rain drove us into the conservatory, mindful of distancing and not touching anything of course, won’t start a rant about other members of the family ignoring current guidelines but suffice to say I was not impressed.xx
