A Spectacular Stretch of the A964

A walk round to the Houton postbox.  Then a walk back.  How do we think of these things? 

CMC invited Dougal and his carer for afternoon drinks (and rock buns and pancakes tea, beer, gin, whisky etc).  Dougal’s Carer brought round a jar of her rhubarb and ginger jam (best with Orkney cheddar cheese).  CMC opened it immediately and put some on the pancakes.

Eventually we were all seated in the Secret Garden; Then the eating began.  I saw Dougal’s Carer picking at her teeth.:

Dougal: Whit are you daein’ wife?

Dougal’s Carer: Dougal, I distinctly mind telling you buey not to clip your tae nails in the kitchen.

There were plenty pancakes left over.
