Looking truly golden. Today's forecast was right, we did get a thunderstorm but it was some way away, so thunder only and no lightning. A quiet day after work yesterday - it was still odd enough to take up a lot of energy.

I went out early evening when it felt a bit fresher and went to the top of the street and then on to Falcon Court where I haven't been for a while. I saw swifts above Morningside Road which reminded me again that I haven't seen them from my flat for the first time since I've lived there - over 30 years now. I hope they will be back next year but I'm afraid they may not be as they have been getting fewer over recent years.
