Roasterie Window

The Roasterie has been a feature of 10th St for three decades and apparently has had a service hatch opening onto the street for twenty and more of those. Since the COVID pandemic lockdown, the service hatch has become a defining feature, allowing a lengthy lineup of customers to queue for their coffee beans without having to go into the shop. I used the hatch this evening for the first time just as they were closing up for the day. The owner and staff posed for me lit by the evening sun.
