Catherine’s old stomping grounds

The beginning of our holiday sees us driving instead of flying to Victoria, but the 12 hour drive is broken by a stop in Chilliwack overnight. Our 10 hour drive to Chilliwack was itself broken up by a stop in Kamloops at Catherine’s old school. The significance of visiting her mum’s girlhood stomping grounds is lost on Elinor who sits in the back of the car for her snack.
