Nice find...

This is an emperor moth caterpillar, probably 3rd instar and it's probably offspring of the moths I had in my garden in April. I've been looking for these caterpillars as they did mate in my garden! I haven't found any but no wonder, they are wandering around the garden of my neighbours! They have found 2 so far and have been kind enough to pass them on.

Normally these cats will eat hawthorn/blackthorn or nettles or brambles. These are not interested in any of that and so I've asked my kind neighbours if I could feed them on what they are finding them on (no idea what it is). In this video - here -  I'm trying to see if they will eat blackthorn.
