Tarn near Hodge Close

We loafed about this morning and then went out late morning into the lakes.  We parked at Hodge Close where there were lots of cars but the occupants had largely dispersed around the area.  A new fence has been erected since our last visit preventing people from too much access to the old quarries here.

Light rain (see extra) and sunshine in equal measure.  We walked up behind Hodge Close towards Holme Fell and came across this pretty tarn which is a disused reservoir for the quarry.  Great day.
