Collected elder flowers in the garden , the elder tree has a special place in Scots folklore along with the Rowan tree it wards off evil spirits , usually there’d be a Rowan in the front garden and an Elder in the back garden! If you’re going to pick the flowers or indeed the berries later it’s wise to ask Mother Elder if you can do so!
So I did!
Followed the recipe a kind guiding friend had sent and the citric acid also that I would need and in due course left it for 24 hours to infuse
The afternoon disappeared ..... yakking!

Finished knitting another cotton dishcloth, and watched a couple of episodes of Talking Heads ...... excellent acting , Alan Bennet is brilliant
