Another park discovered
And still they come … Having discovered Santry Demesne and re-discovered Marlay Park, today it was the turn of Griffith Park in Drumcondra. I found it online yesterday and promised my self to visit it today, weather permitting.
This morning wasn't at all promising, with heavy rain showers on and off until lunchtime (Extra). After that it was time for our music group Zoom meeting and yet another discussion at the end about returning to real rather than virtual meetings. Still, despite all my best efforts ticking every anti-Covid box, the guys were still reluctant to commit to turning up if I invite them in on 1st August. This time they want to wait to see if there'll be a spike because of the move to Phase 3 on Monday with a major range of relaxations.
I have to admit to some disappointment, having put a lot of time and effort into meeting previous concerns the guys had when going live was discussed. Since the rain had eased off by then I decided to take myself over to Griffith Park to calm myself down and relax and get some exercise. It's a naive spot, laid out along the banks of the Tolka River. It was reasonably quiet, due no doubt to the earlier heavy rain. I'll go back.
