A Moment's Hesitation

Small hesitation
Vibrant red or hoverfly
Friendly insect won

I am not much of an insect photographer - they nearly always move away in a blur before I have time to focus! 

I wanted to show you those badly damaged (in transport) geraniums which were delivered during lockdown, There are three with red flowers and three with pink. They have recuperated beautifully and are just starting to bloom. The pink flowers are two-tone and the arrival of the hoverfly was a definite plus.   The red ones are going to give a marvellous show and I counted twenty stems with groups of buds! So it was really worth cutting these plants right back and waiting to see if they revived!

The weather is changeable, starting off with rain, but we still had breakfast outside: oven pancake!  Changeable skies ever since with sunshine and shade and fast moving clouds. 

It will be a quiet Sunday - a documentary on TV, reading and hopefully a decent walk when the weather looks a bit more settled.
