Cuckoo!

SHH decided it was time for the cuckoo clock to come down today as she might be hiding some big holes in need of filler.  As it turned out there was only one but it was for a very special screw which is now sellotaped to the clock.  Cuckoo had a rest with the dollies before he got put into a strong box ready for transport sometime in the next few weeks...

It's a bit like one big lock down.

I had a talk with Dad today about our little trip to Dartmouth for his 90th birthday.  He said he didn't want to go as it was too far for a few days.  I'm not really sure of other reasons but it will probably be a much more complicated reason than that.  It's been a complicated year.  Anyway, with the host's consent, we were allowed to cancel and have most of our deposit back.  It's a bit of a weight off my mind to be honest at the moment.  Lots to think about and sort out.  We will have to think of another way to celebrate.
