I like what they've done, here, wrapping an old characterful building in a modern amplification.   Not sure if they have kept the original room layout of the old building  - I think they probably have.

A potential new ritual in the making . . . a walk to a street just around this block to buy famous family-made ice cream. They even wrapped the tub in newspaper, just like in the old days, for the walk home.
