Moo

Visit to the farm. Sadly the weather was pants so couldn't enjoy the garden like last time. Mike fitted mums new oven. We had a break in the rain to take the dogs for a walk but unfortunately the young cows decided we were really interesting so I had to shoo them off whilst Mike retreated. We also went to put flowers on Dad's grave. His stone is up now. It's the first time I've seen it. It makes it feel all the more real seeing his name there.

My sister didn't arrive till 3.30pm. Apparently their dishwasher is broken so she had to wash up (rolls eyes) and then Craig took Luca off to help him with a job. Toby was really upset and disappointed. We had to leave at 4.30pm as Jack was stabled so we didn't really get chance to catch up.

On the way home we helped rescue a goat that had escaped from a farm. Got chatting to the girl from the farm who has been on that 'love in the countryside' programme that Sara Cox did a few years ago. I only watched a couple of episodes and I remembered that one because it was so close to mum and dad's and I couldn't quite work out which farm it was. Any way she didn't find love and still hasn't, bless her but I remembered that she came across as just a really nice person who was so dedicated to the farm and the animals. She said she was worried that she came across as just wanting someone to be a skivvy on the farm!! Anyway we managed to get the goat back in the field and went on our way.

Didn't get to Jack till 7pm. He'd had extra hay in the afternoon but he was mighty grumpy we were so late!
